" In
everything, by prayer and petition, with
thanksgiving, present your requests to God"
Phil. 4 Vs. 6
Prayer is the
primary way we communicate with God. It is an
integral part of the life our church. We believe
that it is God's primary means of accomplishing
his purposes in the world.
Corporate Prayer
We believe it
is important for us to be a community built on
prayer. This is why we set aside time weekly to
pray together. We meet Sundays at 7:30 am prior to our
services. We meet Wednesdays at 6:00 pm for a
video study and we have worship and prayer at
7pm until......
Wednesday night begins at 6pm with a teaching segment on
the various aspects of prayer. From there we go
into a time of worship and prayer at 7pm. People are
free to come and go through the evening.
Typically, we pray together for a couple of hours
as the Holy Spirit leads.
Sunday's focus
is prayer geared to the morning services. This
includes prayer for salvations, Spirit-empowered
worship, personal encounters with the Lord, and
relevant life-changing teaching.

Each Wednesday our prayer time has a different
focus:
First
Wednesday of
the month focus: THE NATIONS
America, missions, specific VCF cross cultural
endeavors, and current countries of interest
(Iraq, Israel, etc.) We will be asking the Lord
for guidance, protection, and for God's Kingdom
to come in power in all areas of society
(social, governmental, financial, etc.) Standing
united in prayer and petition for it to "be on
earth as it is in Heaven."
Second
Wednesday
focus is:
THE VINEYARD MOVEMENT
We will be praying for our local
church, as well as the Vineyard globally as a
movement. Our desire is to bring the people, the
leaders, and the future God has destined for the
Vineyard, before His throne of grace.
Third
Wednesday
of
the month focus: THE REGION
The New England Region; New England states,
especially Maine, and the greater Portland area - crying
out for the lost, the poor, as well as
education, government, and the arts.
Fourth
Wednesday
of the month
focus: THE BODY OF CHRIST
Praying for the continued transformation of the
Body of Christ throughout the world, as well as
unity and oneness to prevail. We will lift up
and declare the destiny of the Bride and her
role in revealing the King and that His Kingdom
be released in the earth.
Fifth
Wednesday
of the
month (if there is one): THE PRESENCE OF GOD
The Presence of God will be the topic as we pray
that He will be our heart's desire, personally as
well as corporately.
We pray that everything we do will be saturated
with a passion for Him, asking the Holy Spirit
to soak us in the atmosphere of Heaven in our
church and in our daily lives.
